Dad gave me your email w the questions re: Miami trip and other questions.
- I 'm sure it must be sad to see your trip come to an end especially when you made so many friends and shared these experiences w them.
- I don't know what to say about Danielle and her passport - she does not use email much.
- Dad & Bryan have registered for the event bellow ( I just copied/pasted the information in fill for you to see)
On behalf of the newly-formed Semester at Sea Parents Council we invite you to join parents, family, and friends of the Spring 2008 voyagers for breakfast and a short program following the arrival of the MV Explorer on Friday, May 9, 2008 at the Port of Miami-Dade in Miami, FL.
The arrival of the ship after each voyage is always thrilling and we hope you will be able to join us for this special day! The off-loading of luggage and passenger debarkation will take most of the morning and has the potential to run into the early afternoon. Flexibility and patience is required as each voyager and their luggage will need to clear US Customs and satisfy all Homeland Security protocols.
Due to Port of Miami-Dade security, registration is required by May 1, 2008 for everyone planning to enter the port to meet the MV Explorer upon its arrival. Your registration serves as both an RSVP to Semester at Sea, and security information for the Port.

Each adult attending must fill out a registration form, children under 18 may be listed on a parent or guardian form

Catching up
The parents blog has been interesting I guess allot of the girls went wild shopping and couple of kids have had their wallets stolen.
The other interesting thing is everyone including G the expert have been sharing advice on how to just let their kid be when they get home because it is such an overwhelming journey - it take kids time to unwind.
Things are OK here - the weather has been miserable - not at all Spring like - more dark skies and rain.
Katie is doing track and apparently the coach sought out Dad to tell him that she has a " great arm" I thing she is throwing something like the javelin. ( I am on her sh_t list for been firm)
Bryan, just dropped by and he is doing well - he's looking forward to meeting you in Miami.
Nana nd Papa Barry have gone to No Carolina for the month of April - they look good and are very excited about this trip, since they re going w other couples from NL.
Uncle Paul arrives tonight for along weekend fixing up 34 glen - I guess they plan on ripping out the kitchen - Dad is trying to hide his excitement - yes, a dumpster is involved! So even Papa Charlie is coming up to help out and coincidentally Meg and Lucy re visiting. Dotty and the girls are doing well - they re so tall now wait until you see them!
Walsh's are good Liz is struggling w the awful side effects of accutane ( cracked lips etc...you must remember?) Liz will be an RA next year and continues to do well in school and crew.
Evan may be going to BC High - they will know soon- ( he is very excited about this)
I'm finishing up 2 Emmanuel and i am taking Western art - I like it - we go to the MFA every class ( walking distance) the instructor is very nice has reasonable expectations for the students.
I'm hoping to do Design Squad this summer again.
Well I guess that is all for now ~ wishing you health & safety
Love, mom

For Kevin
1. Bank Acct - do switch from checking acct to credit accout in BOA. We understand what happened with the last transaction the balance is now OK. We agree it is better for the ship to have the credit card acct be your on line ship acct.
2. Camera - We will try to contact the Martius store and look into what the warranty situation is. I will look into options for you to buy a camera in Malaysia that we could deal with warranty wise etc..in the US if needed. We'll get back to you ASAP.
3. RM, do talk to a adult/medical person on the ship explain the situation and see if they have any suggestions.
4. We are willing to advocate for you @ QU to push the P/F, should it be the academic office ? Advise us on this and we will do it and give it a try. If this is not an option then let your GPA be what it is going to be, let go of the anger/disappointment and just do what you need to do. In the end this experience you are having is worth much more than some numbers.
5. Empathy - it must be crazy on the ship, lots of people - so little space. Sounds like you are excited about your travel arrangements in Mylasia. It's good to switch around who you are traveling with.
6. The money and camera situatin will work out - I will chcking into warranty for your original camers - if you can send me the specs on the newly purchased camera that will be helpful. The money thing will work out.
Words of Wisdom: Control the things you can and try to let other things go.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY - WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU
MOM, DAD B AND K.
